EOTD: Lunasol Beige Cool
This is for Pinkdolphi1 who had requested an EOTD with Lunasol's Skin Modelling Eyes EX02 Beige Cool palette. This was another limited edition palette from Summer 2007 which sold out in Tokyo quite quickly. The blues in this palette are quite easy to wear, not too garish but still bright enough to add a fresh pop of color.
First, I lined my upper lid with the medium blue shade using the thin end of the sponge applicator, and then blended the metallic light blue shade on top of that along the crease. Then I used the brush to apply the white highlighter shade over the browbone area to the inner corners and then finished with an accent of the beige shade in the outer half of the crease area.
I like the Skin Modelling Eyes series as all the eyeshadows in the quads have a smooth texture that is easy to apply and doesn't crumble easily into a powdery mess like some other brands when the texture is too soft. The colors show up well on skin, true to how they appear in the pan and do not oxidise or darken even after several hours of wear.
The mascara I used today was Tarte's Lights, Camera, Lashes! mascara again.
Finally, I'd like to thank everyone who has left comments on my EOTD posts over the past week. I know the looks are far from perfect and there's always room for improvement. I can curl my lashes more, use a more high coverage concealer to cover up my dark circles, use an eye cream more religiously etc. You may also wonder at the paucity of lashes along my lower eyelids but that's just the way I was born!
But actually, I'm more than fine with my imperfections! I make do with what I have, and the looks that I do are what I've found works for me. They may not work for every one but I'm just sharing them here on my blog for what they're worth and hopefully, some ladies will find them useful. :-)
