Shu Uemura Primitribe
I dropped by Isetan Scotts today and to my surprise, found that several counters had already launched their fall collections. The Shu Uemura Primitribe collection is out at both Isetan and Tangs Orchard. The bold vibrant colors of this collection may scare some ladies off but the blush duos, lipsticks and Primal Color Sticks are actually very wearable shades.
Primal Mix Blush in Rhythm is a standard velvety matte baby pink shade paired with a shimmery peach. The blushes have fairly good color payoff. The shades on the left side are matte while the shades on the right side are more glowy. The shimmer is very fine and subtle. None of the shades really appealed to me though.
From top to bottom: Echo, Soul and Rhythm.
The Primal Colour Sticks are a cream eyeshadow that turn to powder upon application. They actually feel quite dry upon application without much slip. But once applied, the color payoff is good and the finish indeed feels more like powder without any greasiness of stickiness. Blazed Gold looked the prettiest under the counter lights with a lovely shimmer. Rich Earth also has some shimmer while Night Maroon is matte.
From left to right: Rich Earth, Blazed Gold, Night Maroon. (Missing the fourth shade, Misty Grove)
