MAC swatches galore! - Lipsticks

i only have a few MAC lipsticks, i'm not really a lip-person. but i know i should focus a little bit more on lip colours as mine are quite full and a feature on my face that could get more attention.
at this point of time, i'm not very happy with my selection of colours, i regret buying so many light colours and would rather have more bold/berry shades that suit me better :(  maybe it's the winter lighting, too.
so i need to work hard on this!
(a tube of 3g cost 18€/13.50£/14.50$.)

Creme D' Nude

Creme D' Nude
famous pale nude (= nude like your skin, not YLBB-nude) without shimmers. the colour is a slight pink, neutral nude. this is a "Cremesheen" formula with a decent colour pay off and a shiny finish. it's opaque with 3 swipes (for my quite pigmented lips) and lasts about 3 hours on my lips.
i don't really like it as it washes me out (really NEEDS a dark/striking eye make up to balance it!) and only looks good if i had used a lip-scrub. so i only use it to tone down bold colours. it also feels a bit heavy, but very creamy and not gritty at all.

Freckletone

Freckletone
the "Lustre"finish is sheer and glossy, it lasts only about 2-3 hours on my lips. Freckletone is a medium beige/peach nude without shimmer. it's more yellow-toned and doesn't make me look like a corpse too much.

Blankety

Blankety
"Amplified" finish. this is a creamy and opaque formula with silky shine. it last about 3 hours on my lips. Blankety is a mauvey-rosewood nude, more on the natural - not paled out side and an excellent everyday-nude that can also go with a natural look, it doesn't need a dramatic eye make up to balance out.

The Faerie Glen

The Faerie Glen
this is also a "Lustre" finish, so it's sheer and glossy. this colour is limited edition and got released with the Tartan Tale collection holiday 2010. it is a neutral medium nude.

Hue

Hue
another famous pale. Hue is a light pink nude with "Glaze" formula. it's sheer but not glossy, more of a soft shine and wears about 2-3 hours. it has no shimmers. it's so light you should wear a smokey eye with to not look like dead.

Half 'N Half

Half 'N Half
this has the "Amplified" finish: creamy, opaque, silky shine and about 3 hours of wear. it's a browny-rosewood MLBB (= my lips but better)-everyday-colour, which you can even wear easily with a only-mascara-eye.

Patisserie

Patisserie
a "Lustre" shiny rose-mauve. i like this colour very much, it's very easy to combine with every look.

Shy Girl

Shy Girl
Shy Girl ("Cremesheen") is a light peach with gold microshimmers which aren't apparent when applied. it's shiny and brightens up your face, a really nice and subtle summer shade.

Brave New Bronze

Brave New Bronze
limited edition with the "Style Warriors" collection spring/summer 2009 and my first MAC lipstick. this is a "Satin" finish with no shimmer and a quite thick, opaque and dry texture. you have to wear it over a lipbalm or together with a gloss to avoid it looking too dry or flaky on your lips. it's a beigey flesh-colour and looks great on yellow-toned medium skin as a MLBB-nude. it's dark enough to be worn with every look. there is a similar shade in the permanent range: "Cherish", so if you didn't get this, don't worry!

Jazzed

Jazzed
is a "Cremesheen" formula. this shade was limited edition with the "In The Groove" collection summer 2010. it's a coral pink, a light, bright and shiny summer shade.

Ravishing

Ravishing
Ravishing is also a "Cremesheen". it's a peachy coral with gold shimmer. i haven't worn this very often, i ordered it online and haven't seen it in real before - i didn't like the orangey hue it got on my lips and the gold shimmer. but with a pink gloss on top it looks really nice.

here are all swatched on my arm:

from left to right: Creme D'Nude - Freckletone - Blankety - The Faerie Glen - Hue - Half 'N Half - Patisserie - Shy Girl - Brave New Bronze - Jazzed - Ravishing.

what is your favourite shade of MAC lipsticks? i plan on getting Syrup and Girl About Town someday, but maybe i'll wait for my next Back2MAC (the last time i depotted my eyeshadows i could get 5 lippies ;)  ).
