Essence @Holografics.com collection (i feel embarrassed to have this name in the title -.-)
oh my, what an awful name for a LE (i heard it's even called "Meet Me @Holografics.com"!!!)! i'm defintely not the target group, i realize ;)
when i met the display some products were already sold out, but still i could get some nice products. i haven't tried them on other than swatching, but i want to give you a first impression.
i bought the blue nailpolish named "03 Blue Ray", it's an almost-duochrome that looks purple / blue depending on the angle you look at it, but mostly it shimmers in a deep blue. it reminds me of my Illamasqua polishes, a sheer charcoal base with lots of coloured shimmer in it, but the Essence polish is sheerer.
it has a thin long brush and a liquidy consistency. it applies evenly and dries in an average time to a medium shiny finish, i would recommend a top coat for a glossy shine and more depth.
it's a nice shimmering colour with glow effect, but not really holographic, i think.
it contains 10ml and costs 1.75€.
then i bought the dark blue cream shadow called "01 Gagalectric". it comes in a nice acrylic jar with a reflecting silver lid. it looks like a deep blue shade, a light denim blue (almost dark teal) in the jar. it has a silicony consistency and applies a bit uneven when you try to concentrate it. but it should be worn really sheer for an even result. then it shows nice blue shimmers with a sheer blue sheen. i haven't tried it on the eyes yet, so i can't rate the lasting power, but it doesn't seem to be longlasting or smudgeproof by the first swatches and the slippery, silicony dry consistency.
it contains 5g and costs 2.25€.
EDIT: after testing both products further here is the bottom line:
the nail polish is nice, after 2 days still no chipping or tip wear. but the colour applies to a almost frosty/metallic bright royal blue, that's just too 90ies to be worn on fingernails. maybe on the toes for summer.
the cream shadow is horrible to apply. i tried it with the fluffy brush and with fingers. everytime blotchy (even with the sheerest application), non-buildable finish. but surprisingly it lasted very well on my lids even though it feels so slippery and siliconey!
