Chanel Fall 2011 - Illusion d'Ombre in #84 Épatant.
Chanel Illusion d'Ombre in #84 Épatant (which means "splendid" or "amazing") is my second favourite out of my 4. it's a light khaki green colour with tons and tons of silver and clear microsparkles. its finish is the most metallic and it looks like a metallic glistening silver in some angles. the colour applies as a rather light colour on my lids, almost like a muted mint green.
it comes in a sophisticated glass pot and includes a little capped brush. the synthetic angled brush i really like to use as portable lip brush and apply the cream shadow with a MAC 242 since it grabs the right amount of product. the edges are easily blended out with a fluffy brush.
the consistency of these is different from other cream eyeshadows i know, it feels like a bouncy mousse. it's smooth and creamy and has a good colour pay-off. it doesn't set to a smudgeproof finish like other long wearing cream shadows and stays quite blendable, it doesn't feel greasy, though.
it has a medium staying power, after 6 hours the colour fades before also the shimmer starts to crease. with a sheer layer of UDPP underneath it's effectively prevented, though.
i think this glowing colour looks very flattering on brown eyes, i love to wear it on its own with a little bit of black in the outer corners.
it contains 4g and costs 29.95€ (24€ at Nägele), the Illusion d'Ombres will stay in the permanent range of Chanel.

it's just like the cream shadow version of Lancôme's Erika F, but even more sparkly and silvery.
