Step #1: Use the fat sponge end to apply the top right base shade all over the lid, extending 2-3mm past the outer corner of the upper eyelid

#2: Use the fat sponge end to apply the bottom left brown shade from the upper lashline up to the crease

#3: Use the thin sponge end to apply the bottom left brown shade along the lower lashline, extending 2-3mm below the outer corner

#4: Apply the gel eyeliner along the lashline at the base of the eyelashes

#5: Apply the gel eyeliner along the lashline just above the eyelashes with a slightly thicker line towards the outer corner

#6: Extend the gel eyeliner about 2mm past the outer corner on both the upper and lower lashline.

#7: Use the thin sponge end to apply the bottom right dark brown shade along the outer one-third of both the upper and lower lashline

#8: Use the fat sponge end to mix the two highlight colors (upper left) and apply at the inner corners of both the upper and lower lids

#9: Apply mascara on the upper lashes and lower lashes, with more emphasis on the outer half of the lower lashes.

#10: Stick on false lashes

Bea's Up: Jill Stuart & MAC Perfect Book

The February issue of Bea's Up included a booklet on Jill Stuart and MAC, both of which are immensely popular in Japan. The booklet played up the striking contrast between the cool, funky MAC with its black packaging and the princessy pink of Jill Stuart.

Interview with a Jill Stuart SA, who said that one of the highlights of her job was wearing the pretty outfits!

She then used her finger to pat the gold pearl shade (extreme left) over the lid and lined the inner rims of her lashlines with a pencil eyeliner.

Bea's Up October

The October issue of Bea's Up features pop star Ayumi Hamasaki (in her usual blonde glamour princess getup)on the cover, along with features on reviews of the new Autumn/Winter foundations, drugstore makeup priced under 2222yen and techniques for making one's eyes look bigger.






The November issue due out on 11 October will have the scoop on Christmas coffrets, reportedly earlier than any other beauty mags. I'll be looking forward to that!
