Dior DiorSnow Perfect Bloom Cushion Foundation

Yet another prestige Western brand hops on the cushion foundation bandwagon. According to Abe Sawako, this DiorSnow Perfect Bloom Cushion SPF50 PA+++ (8500yen, 2x15g) will be launched on 26 February in Japan. It comes with an extra refill, with refills also available individually for 4100yen. However, there is only a paltry selection of three shades. The foundation supposedly helps to cool the skin by 3℃ upon application for a refreshing feel. Details on the rest of the collection are in this earlier post.


Other new contenders include Philosophy Take A Deep Breath Cushion Foundation (available this Saturday at Ulta at the special sale price of US$29), Givenchy Teint Couture Cushion (with video review here), Sephora Wonderful Cushion Foundation and MAC Matchmaster Shade Intelligence Compact with the Lightful Cushion to follow in March. I've just purchased the MAC version but haven't tried it out yet as I've been testing the Physicians Formula cushion over the past week. Will try to get around to it!

Dior Cinq Couleurs Designer Relaunch

Dior will launch its revamped Cinq Couleurs Designer palettes on 5 June in Japan. Available in six variations, the eyeshadow pans appear to be more streamlined while the pair of double-ended sponge applicators have been replaced by a more diverse mix of brushes and sponge applicators. It's a pity that the largely gradational color combinations do not look any more exciting than the current line-up, which have never seemed to be that popular. Pic from Voce.

Dior will release this DiorSnow First Blossom makeup collection on 27 February in Japan, along with a slew of new whitening skincare products.

1. Snow Rainbow Powder (7600yen): Pure finishing powder composed of four tones - mauve for correcting dullness and sallowness, green for concealing redness, pink for alleviating dullness and white for enhanced translucency and glow.

There will also be a Snow White Pure & Perfect Powder Foundation SPF30 PA+++ (6700yen, 6 shades) and Snow Whitening Fresh Fluid Foundation (6000yen, 6 shades) but as these are already listed on the Dior Japan website, they appear to be re-promotes from the 2014 Dior Snow collection.

Dior World of Pastels Collection

Dior has launched a World of Pastels collection exclusive to Isetan department store in Shinjuku, Tokyo. It includes Cinq Couleurs #346 Pastel Breeze, My Lady Blush 006 and 007 (see pic on fudejapan), Dior Addict Lipstick #425 Summer Sunset and nail polishes #122 Freppy nude and #585 Poppy Pink.
