MAC Love That Look & Euristocrats Swatches
Try as I may to stay away from the MAC counter, my interest was still piqued by the new Euristocrats 2 and Love That Look collections which have just arrived at Tangs and Isetan.
Love That Look introduces 12 limited edition eyeshadows in the Starflash formula which is buttery smooth, pigmented with a metallic finish. I only swatched Rated R (bright yellow green), Strike A Pose (dirty deep blue green), Smoke & Diamonds (frosty gray taupe) and Glamour Check (frosty reddish brown). Glamour Check is the shade at the bottom of the left column and the other three shades are in the right column.
There are also 4 limited edition Pearlglide Liners (S$27), all repromotes from an earlier collection, Suite Array. I couldn't resist picking up Fly By Blu (medium blue with blue glitter) and Rave (deep purple with purple glitter). The shades are intense with a lovely metallic glint. They are also extremely long-lasting! I couldn't even rub them off with a piece of tissue. I had to use an oil cleanser and scrub at these a bit in order to get them off.
Euristocrats comprises 7 Dazzleglasses, 7 lipsticks and 4 lip pencils. I liked the lipsticks in the Lustre formula which are glossy and feel nicely moisturising. These apply sheer at first but can be easily layered for greater intensity.
From left to right:
Naked Paris - Mid-tone brown with multi deminsional pearlized pigments Lustre)
Milan Mode - Deep pink with multi-dimensional pearlized pigments (Lustre)
Patisserie - Creamy neutral pink (Lustre)
The Dazzleglasses are intensely sparkly as always but according to MUA reviews, these get used up in a flash especially if you have tend to re-apply a few times a day. My favourite is Date Night (deep plum with blue and gold pearl, third shade from the right in the pic below), which is a permanent shade. But I just have too many lipglosses so I passed on it for now.
From left to right: Rue de Rouge, Vie Veneto, Internationalist, Euro Beat, Roman Holiday and Local Color.
