Bobbi Brown Pink Oyster Collection
Stopped by the Bobbi Brown counter at Isetan Scotts today to ask about the Asia-exclusive Pink Oyster collection and to my great surprised, it was already available! According to the SA, the collection was just released on Friday. But I did not see it at the Bobbi Brown store in Ion or the counter in Tangs Vivocity today.
Anyway, being a die-hard collector of Shimmer Bricks, I naturally ended up purchasing the Pink Oyster Shimmer Brick (S$66). The SA said that the Shimmer Brick was especially flattering on Asian skin tones. Since it was limited edition, she also advised "if want to buy, must 'chong'! (rush)" :-)
Pink Oyster is similar to Pink Quartz in that when you swirl a brush over the five strips, it applies mostly as a silvery shimmer. Unlike Nectar or Rose Shimmerbricks, the pink tone is not very visible so Pink Oyster works better as a highlighter than a blush. But if swatched individually, the colours do show up more distinctly like how they appear in the pan and you can also use these as eyeshadows.
The Shimmer Brick is manufactured in Italy in February 2010.
I also picked up the Metallic Long-Wear Cream Shadow in Opal (S$36). True to its name, this applies as a pearly white with a gorgeous pink iridescence.
