Best Things in Beauty : Chanel Le Vernis

so far, i only have 3 Chanel polishes, but hopefully they'll be more in spring (must have Black Pearl and Pearl Drop!).

Chanel nail polishes are quite expensive (22€/13ml), but they are the brand that sets the trend in this category at the moment. i only think of Jade or Nouvelle Vague, or Le Khakis! what Metro Chic was yesterday, is Chanel now, 100 times of it, but with every colour.
they just release colours you have never thought of you'd MUST HAVE them, but then you do ;) .
many brands copy them, e.g. Paradoxal: Barry M, Revlon, Alessandro, ... and some No-Namers who try to grab some money while the hype is still strong.
so you can almost say that you just have to wait some weeks if like a Chanel colour a lot, and you'll get a similar colour-copy for far less money. it's your decision.

i find Chanel varnishes not outstanding in quality. they apply very well, are just the right consistency and opacity, they dry fast and stay glossy, but they don't last very long. first tip-wear or tiny chipping is already noticed on the 2nd day (ok, they last longer if i decide to be a couch-potato :P).

released early 2010, hard to find then, but widely available now.
a cream dark brown that looks different depending on your skin tone, on me it has a warmer hue and less gray undertones.

released with Jade in fall 2009, repromoted in fall 2010 with Paradoxal.
a nude with pink & gold microshimmer, they are hardly visible in sunlight when applied.

came out fall 2010, i think still available on many counters.
a dark gray-brown base with many purple & pink microshimmers, which are only visible in different angles/lights. i love it, as it's shimmery but not obviously and dark, but not black/plain.
