Ombre fail
Martha posted this amazing manicure yesterday and i loved it so much that i wanted to do it too - it seemed fun, fresh and still not too flashy. the best part is that i could use 5 colours at once and don't have to choose ;) for an ombre manicure you just use different nuances of one colour gradually on your nails.
however, i find my result not half as pretty as Martha's.
firstly, because her cuticles look so much nicer :P
second, i think i was overwhelmed with the opportunity to use 5 different shades that i went a bit overboard and chose my shades by taste and not by colour scheme. i think such an ombre manicure works much better when the polishes have at least the same finish (not glitter - cream - microglitter - shimmer - pearl like mine :P).
anyway, then this is not an "ombre nails", but still fun to look at (reminds me of a han full of jelly beans ;))
that's what i used: Zoya Valerie - Essence VIP Appeal (which i franked to be an Chanel Riviera dupe) - Chanel Morning Rose - NARS Orgasm - Catrice Mona Lisa Is Staring Back - Seche Vite as top coat.
