Jemma Kidd All Over Radiance Cream in Rose Gold.

since the pixiwoo clan praised this product on youtube it might became a bestseller for Jemma Kidd ;)
i'm talking about the Jemma Kidd Make Up School Dewy Glow All Over Radiance Cream. btw, why are marketing consultants so crazy about long product names? is it a competition or what?
well, i'm one of the Pixiwoo/Lisa Eldridge disciples so i always knew that i will have this product in my life some day. and some day is today, that's why i'm going to discuss this cream highlighter with you now.
even though with my oily skin i should better steer away from cream products (or even shimmery highlighting products in general), it's the "constant dripping that wears away the stone" and ... to try is always better than not to try :P
i'm liking liquid highlighters - even though these already can get borderline on my skin they are quite versatile, if i didn't want to look too greasy i could mix them with my foundation. with solid creams it's a bit harder and they seem only suitable to use on top of your foundation with a higher tendency to look/become greasy that's why i have never purchased one of the Cream Colour Bases by MAC or other cream highlighters.

i bought the Jemma Kidd cream highlighter in the shade Rose Gold (there was also a pale gold, but i thought this shade would look better on me). i ordered on lookfantastic.com when there was a sale going on and an extra 1£-off code, so i paid about 13£ for it.
it comes in a black box with a beautiful glossy print. the compact is sleek and sturdy and is made of rubberized plastic. it holds a full sized mirror and contains 10g of product.
it appeared almost like a powder from the first sight with it's dull surface. it's a compact cream with a silicone-dry feeling when melting under my fingers, it's not slippery smooth but also not gritty at all. it applies as a cream-to-powder-finish and blends very well. in the pan it has a light plastic/oily smell but blends out to a soft vanilla scent.
Rose Gold appears to be a beige with coppery undertones, it has very fine pearly shimmer. it doesn't look frosty or metallic. the shade reminds me of some of my favourite powder highlighters like the Dior Amber Diamond, Lorac Spotlight or MAC Too Chic.
the colour blends into my skin tone very well and adds a naturally radiant, almost dewy effect on my skin. i like to use it with my small foundation brush by L'Oreal or my foundation brush from Boots No.7, i apply it (after foundation and before any powder products) to my lids/brow bone area, the tops of my cheekbones, bridge of the nose and cupid's bow. thanks to the powdery finish it does not make my oily skin worse and looks good on me for a long time (about 7h) before i would need to blot.
it's really easy to use and doesn't interfere with my foundation underneath so i like to use it for an everyday radiant summer look with pink (cream blush) cheeks, bronzer and a lot of mascara.

tihilw:

(sorry, no better "without" picture other than this one) only foundation on - complete make up with contour/blush/highlight
and big excuses for duckface -.- i'm ashamed.

i was using a shimmery blush on these pictures (Style by MAC) so i find this look really over the top. it looks a lot better with a matte/satin pink/peach.
