Essence Stay All Day Cream Shadow in Steel The Show.

Essence has launched some new cream eyeshadows called Stay All Day Long Lasting Eyeshadow with their latest range-renewal, and i haven't came across testing them until now. i only picked up one colour, a shimmery steel grey named Steel the Show.
it comes in a tacky little plastic pot, the packaging is functional but i don't like the design at all. it contains 5.5g of product and costs 2.75€. 
its consistency is quite firm but it has a good colour pay-off and feels fine and smooth to the touch. it's a steel grey with a hint of brown and has white shimmer. this has a weird scent of artificial coconut.
it applies very opaque but i like to use a fluffy MAC 217 (or -type) brush to apply it sheerly and build up where desired. it blends and layers well without becoming patchy. the staying power is very nice, the cream shadow lasts all day on my rather oily lids without a primer and also acts nicely as a base itself.
this colour is a fantastic affordable dupe to Make Up For Ever's Aqua Cream in #2, in fact i even like this better for its better blendability.
i wear Steel the Show as a super effortless eye make up on its own or with a quick swipe of a semi-sheer light pearly powder eyeshadow over it - i LOVE MAC Naked Pigment layered on this!!!

i know, the eyeliner on my waterline is really unflattering (since much too red), but it's what's on the lids, which counts. i applied the cream shadow with a fluffy brush (MAC 217) on the lid and blended upwards.
