Bourjois 1 Seconde Gloss #1 and Essence Colour 3 #2 Brightsmates
At Monoprix in France recently, I came acorss the new Bourjois One Seconde Nail Enamel line which promise a highly glossy gel-effect finish.
Enriched with silicone, these are supposed to be super quick to apply with the aid of the fan effect brush, hence the "1 Seconde" moniker. The coral orange shade in the pic below has an intriguing gold micro-shimmer.
The deep violet shade at the extreme right side of the display is super glittery, the only such shade in the line.
I purchased 01 Transparent Glossy and wore it this week over Essence Colour 3 Nail Polish 02 Brightmates from the Season of Extremes collection.
The fan effect brush works remarkably well, covering the nail surface in two slick coats. Although it took more than 10 minutes to dry down completely, it did provide a nice glossy finish that has helped to prevent chipping. Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat is much more efficient in terms of drying down but my bottle has already turned impossibly thick with only half of the bottle used.
The cream bright pink half of Brightmates is nothing special on its own but when the shimmery orange side is layered over it, it becomes a cheerful coral pink. The nail line is still faintly visible but it does not bother me. These pics were taken after six days of wear. There has only been some minimal tip wear.
Bourjois also has a new 1 Second Magic Nail Polish Remover that enables you to remove nail polish by rubbing your nails against the sponge inside the bottle.
The Paris Sucre makeup collection for spring with an unusual combination of bright chartreuse, vanilla beige and soft pink.
