Cargo Molokai.

i'm finally completing my Cargo Blush series with my last one: Cargo Molokai.
Molokai is one of the permanent shades which were recently added to the offered range on beautybay.com. it costs 15£ (for UK) / 19.40€ (for Germany :( ) and the traditional Cargo tin contains 8.9g.
Molokai is a matte soft peach blusher with a very fine and smooth texture. it has a nice pigmentation, but since it's quite a light colour, it appears as a sheer wash of colour on my NC20-25ish skin. it glides evenly onto my cheeks and creates a refined skin effect with a velvety glow which i like very much with Cargo's matte textures.
this is my perfect peach shade for the winter time when i'm a bit paler. it doesn't turn pink on me unlike other too reddish peachy blushes but stays a beautiful soft pastel peach. at the same time, it's not too orange based at all. the colour stays true all day (7-8h).
theoretically a very perfect blush, but practically i can only wear this when i'm palest of my pale since most time of the year i'm too dark for it and the colour just disappears on me. that's why i had to sell it away few days ago. i have too many peachy blushes to justify keeping one that i can only wear in 3 months in the year.

Cargo SuedeBlush in Montebello.

Cargo Montebello is a SuedeBlush i ordered through Maureen some months ago because i was quite intrigued with its gorgeous look in the pan (reminded me of Givenchy's Blooming Fuchsias). it's a mixture of colour sprinkes of coral pink, pale pink and tan.
the mixed colour is a warm medium pink with white, almost frosty shimmer. it has a fine consistency and medium pigmentation.
the cool-toned shimmer didn't suit me though, i found it to be too much. it slightly emphasized on my enlarged pores and the overall colour had an unmodern touch to it, so i have sold it away by now. it's maybe better for someone with a fine skin texture and a deeper skin tone than mine.
this blush comes in the regular Cargo tin but contains 12g of product instead of "only" 8.9g like the normal blushes. it costs 26$.

the RBR blush is more reddish and has a satin finish, MAC's Mineralize Blush in Dainty is a softer, warmer pink and also less shimmery than Cargo Montebello.

Cargo Prague.

today is about Cargo Prague blush. Prague is a permanent shade and available at beautybay.com (for german customers), i also bought it on there some months ago when they expanded their blush selection.
Prague is a matte rosewood colour, a mixture of brown, rose and purple. it looks quite boring and unappealing in the pan, but is actually a very versatile shade. of course it houses in the silver tin and also contains 8.9g at 18.50€/15.57£ (there was a slight price increase recently, they were 18.10€ before).
it has a really fine and silky texture and applies evenly with no blotches. it has high pigmentation and blends beautifully, the superb texture creates a refined skin illusion with soft, translucent colour.
the rosy brown is a subtle and natural cheek colour for everyday wear, the colour sculpts the cheeks softly and could serve well as a contour colour if warmer browns or greyish browns don't work for you.

compared to Prague, Burberry Earthy Blush is a true taupe/brown, Tonga is lighter and more pink and MAC Blushbaby is more reddish.

Cargo Topeka.

next Cargo blusher is Topeka. it's in the permanent line and i ordered it through Maureen some months ago, now it's easier accessible on beautybay.com.
it comes in the regular Cargo-tin and contains 8.9g for 26$/18.10€.
i wanted to try this shade for a long time, i have read great reviews about it. it was often compared with NARS Luster blush (which i l♥ve for summer time), but when someone said "if you love Luster, you will love Topeka!" it was clear that i would order Topeka right away.
it has a dusty peach colour with soft gold shimmer, it's the same fine texture as my other shimmery Cargo blushes and applies and blends with ease. it has a medium pigmentation and i'm glad that the result is a warm peach colour with gold sheen but the shimmer doesn't lay flat on my skin surface to create a frosty/greasy finish that would emphasize on any unevenness of the skin. it lasts on me an average time, about 6-7 hours before it's fading.
the colour is quite warm and a bit tricky for me to pull off without looking sick, i need to combine it with intense eye makeups as the main focus of the face and a proper contour to frame it. worn more intensely, i like to combine it with a shimmery chocolate brown eyeshadow look. it goes well with dark smokey eyes, too. if i just want the beautiful gold glow, i'd also layer Topeka sheerly over a matte reddish or rose blush.
compared to NARS Luster, Topeka appears more rosey whereas Luster looks almost orange. the gold shimmer is much stronger with the NARS blusher, almost like a duochrome while it's just a gold glow in Topeka.

nudey FOTD with Guerlain #93, Rue de Passy palette.

these days i'm really loving the nude look, my favourite eye make up with the #93, Rue de Passy palette by Guerlain. it's a naturally polished makeup that lets my eyes appear warm and bright. this would be my version of "romantic eye makeup".

for the face:

foundation: Lancôme Teint Miracle in 01 Beige Albâtre (1) applied with Le Métier de Beauté Blush Brush (2)

undereye concealer: Giorgio Armani Master Corrector in #2 (3) and Giorgio Armani High Precision Retouch Concealer in #3 (4) applied with the fingers

powder: Giorgio Armani Micro-fil Loose Powder in #01 (5) applied with SUQQU Face Brush (6)

contour: NARS Multple Bronzer in Cap Vert (7) applied with Sigma F84 Angled Synthetic Kabuki (8)

blush: Cargo Tonga (9) applied with Hakuhodo B505BkSL Blush Brush (10)

for the eyes & lips:

brows: MAC Omega eyeshadow (1) applied with Louise Young Brow Brush LY30 (2) and K-Palette 1 Day Tattoo Brow Pen (3)

lips: Crazy Rumours lip balm in Juicy Grapefruit (10)

eye makeup: with Guerlain #93, Rue de Passy palette (4)

  • apply the matte rose peach (#1 in palette chart) with Tom Ford Eyeshadow Brush (5) all over the lid and blend it up to the brow bone area.
  • add the nougat brown (#2) as a soft crease colour using Tom Ford Crease Brush (6).
  • again use the Tom Ford Eyeshadow Brush to apply the frosty pale pink (#5) to the inner corner and tearduct area, sweep it lightly onto the center of the lids to add some glow.
  • apply the pearly taupe colour (#3) on the lower lashline.
  • use the Sigma SS266 (7) to apply the pearly black shade (#6) as an eyeliner on the outer half of the lid and outer corner of the lower lashline.
  • curl lashes with Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers (8) and apply Lancôme Hypnôse Doll Eyes Mascara (9 - sample)

the close up photos from the eye makeup were shot on another day but it was basically the same as in the full face pics!
