nudey FOTD with Guerlain #93, Rue de Passy palette.

these days i'm really loving the nude look, my favourite eye make up with the #93, Rue de Passy palette by Guerlain. it's a naturally polished makeup that lets my eyes appear warm and bright. this would be my version of "romantic eye makeup".

for the face:

foundation: Lancôme Teint Miracle in 01 Beige Albâtre (1) applied with Le Métier de Beauté Blush Brush (2)

undereye concealer: Giorgio Armani Master Corrector in #2 (3) and Giorgio Armani High Precision Retouch Concealer in #3 (4) applied with the fingers

powder: Giorgio Armani Micro-fil Loose Powder in #01 (5) applied with SUQQU Face Brush (6)

contour: NARS Multple Bronzer in Cap Vert (7) applied with Sigma F84 Angled Synthetic Kabuki (8)

blush: Cargo Tonga (9) applied with Hakuhodo B505BkSL Blush Brush (10)

for the eyes & lips:

brows: MAC Omega eyeshadow (1) applied with Louise Young Brow Brush LY30 (2) and K-Palette 1 Day Tattoo Brow Pen (3)

lips: Crazy Rumours lip balm in Juicy Grapefruit (10)

eye makeup: with Guerlain #93, Rue de Passy palette (4)

  • apply the matte rose peach (#1 in palette chart) with Tom Ford Eyeshadow Brush (5) all over the lid and blend it up to the brow bone area.
  • add the nougat brown (#2) as a soft crease colour using Tom Ford Crease Brush (6).
  • again use the Tom Ford Eyeshadow Brush to apply the frosty pale pink (#5) to the inner corner and tearduct area, sweep it lightly onto the center of the lids to add some glow.
  • apply the pearly taupe colour (#3) on the lower lashline.
  • use the Sigma SS266 (7) to apply the pearly black shade (#6) as an eyeliner on the outer half of the lid and outer corner of the lower lashline.
  • curl lashes with Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers (8) and apply Lancôme Hypnôse Doll Eyes Mascara (9 - sample)

the close up photos from the eye makeup were shot on another day but it was basically the same as in the full face pics!

FOTD Catrice purple smokey & false lashes.

this is a recent FOTD i did with a drugstore eye make up and high end complexion make up. i think it turned out very nice.
and again with false lashes ;) this time i tried the infamous Princess Lee False Eyelashes in the style Cross 7. i find that these are really nice in terms of a very thin and flexible band, but since they are quite dense and i used them along the entire lashline and not only the outer corners, the result is less natural and more wispy than with my other styles.

for the face:

foundation: Sisley Phyto Teint Éclat in #1 Ivory (1 - review) applied with the fingers

concealer: Giorgio Armani Master Corrector #2 (2 - review) applied with the fingers

powder: Guerlain Météorites Perles de Nuit (3) applied with SUQQU Face Brush (4)

contour: NARS The Multiple Bronzer in Cap Vert (7 - review) applied with Sigma F84 (8 - review)

blush: Guerlain Rosée du Printemps (5 - review) applied with SUQQU Cheek Brush (6)

for the eyes:

brows: Shiseido brow pencil in GY901 Natural Black (1)

lips: Chanel Glossimer in #83 Magnifique (sorry, not on pic - here's a lip swatch)

eye make up:
  • tightline the upper waterline with matte black shadow from Guerlain #68 Champs-Élysées palette (2 - review) and MakeUpShow H07 Small Shader Brush (3 - review). elongate the line in the outer corner. apply what's left on the brush on the outer part of the lower lashline, meeting up with the line in the outer corner.
  • apply a wash of Catrice Heidi Plum eyeshadow (8 - review) with SUQQU Eye Brush L (5) all over the lid, blend out with Edward Bess Luxury Eye Brush (6 - review).
  • apply the metallic silver/taupe eyeshadow from L'Oreal HIP Electrified Duo (9 - review) with SUQQU Eye Brush M (4) to the inner corners and the lower lashline.
  • draw a thick liner with Essence Gel Eyeliner in Berlin Rocks (10 - review) with Rossmann-brand lip brush (7), meet up with the black line at the outer corner to create an almond shape of your eyes.
  • curl lashes with Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler (11), apply one coat of Shiseido The Perfect Mascara (12).
  • apply false eyelashes (13), using this method.

FOTD with Sisley, Guerlain and Catrice.

one of the most recent FOTDs where i implemented a "more asian" eyeshadow technique but used a bolder colour to avoid it looking too nice. just tightlining the upper waterline and more black on the outer corners but less colour on the lids and the crease actually. i find that it creates a quite soft but still sultry effect. i also used the BeautyQQ-false-lash-application-technique that i have showed you here.
what do you think? do my eyes look bigger than normal at all? as this might be one of the most important goals in popular asian make up application: fair and even skin, big eyes, dolly cheeks & lips.

for the face - quite spartan ;)

foundation: Sisley Phyto Teint Éclat in #1 Ivory (1 - review) applied with the fingers (!) - not on the pic ;)

concealer: Giorgio Armani Master Corrector in #2 (2) applied with the fingers again (!) ;)

powder & blush: Guerlain Parure de Nuit (3) applied with SUQQU Face Brush (4)

for the eyes:

brows: Shiseido Brow Pencil in GY901 Natural Black (not on the pic, sorry)

lips: Dior Rouge Dior in #298 Beige Indécise (11 - lip swatch)

eye make up:
  • tightlining the upper waterline with matte black liner shade in Guerlain's #68 Champs-Élysées palette (1 - review) and MakeUpShow Small Shader Brush (2 - review), extending the line a bit on the outer corner of your eye and apply the left-over shadow to the outer part of the lower lashline.
  • sweep a sheer wash of Catrice C'mon Chameleon eyeshadow (5 - review) with Hakuhodo S142 brush (3 - review) onto the lids, blend out with Edward Bess Luxury Eye Brush (4 - review). apply a bit onto the lower lashline.
  • draw a relatively thick liner with Essence I Love NYC Gel Eyeliner (7 - review) along the upper lashline with For Your Beauty Lip Brush (6 - Rossmann brand), meet up with the black on the outer corner but no wing upwards.
  • curl lashes with Koji Eyelash Curler (8), apply 1 coat of Shiseido The Perfect Mascara (9).
  • apply false eyelashes (10) to the outer corners using this technique.

photos with flash.
