YSL La Laque in Pink Gold

this nail polish is part of the Metallic Colorama End of Year collection from Yves Saint Laurent. there is also a gold and a silver shade released with this.

i have never tried nail polishes from YSL before. the bottle is quite high, so for people who store their polishes upstanding: note that these are even 0.5cm higher than the full-sized OPI bottle and a bit higher than the Orly bottles.
there are 10ml of product in it, which you have to pay around 18-21€ for. i ordered mine at parfumdreams.de for 17,95€, shipping costs would be 3,50€ but you get free shipping from 35€. i will post coupon codes for this shop on the side bar soon.

it also came with a GWP, a nice little miniature bottle of YSL's newly released perfume Belle d'Opium. i like the scent alot.

like with Chanel, Dior, butter London and some other polishes, you would take off the big cap to reveal a smaller more handy black cap.
 
the brush is quite long, but you still can easily manoeuvre with this. the brush head itself is a flat one, like the ones you know from OPI or Estee Lauder, but it's softer and has more give to it than OPI's.





it's a rose gold coloured lacquer with some peach mixed in it. the texture is more on the creamy side and the polish reaches opacity in only one coat. the finish is metallic, it dries down a little bit dull,  i guess because of the metal ingredients in this? so you should use a top coat with this.

2 coats, by habit. i used Essie's Good to Go top coat with this. drying time is not the shortest, but still ok.
i can't say anything about how long-wearing this is, as i just slapped it on today. and because i can only wear nail polish at the weekends, it doesn't bother me that much.
i really like this shade, not your average gold but still very holiday-esque. fancy and glamourous at once.
but i don't like the YSL packaging at all. i find the emblem boring and granny-like, i'm not a huge fan of the gold  and the puristic shapes paired with it, looks '90ish to me. and it draws fingerprints to it like moths to the flame.

do you have YSL polishes or did you get something from this collection? i'm really wanting the Metallic Colorama highlighter palette.
