Benefit Velvet Eyeshadow in "Fawn Over Me"
i've been wanting to try the powder eyeshadows by Benefit for quite a long time now. i heard that they have a good texture and the colours coordinate with their Creaseless Cream Shadows, which i love.
so when it was the Glamour Shopping Week i finally got two of them to try and a Bad Gal mascara sampler as goodie.
these shadows come in a sturdy and lovely compact with a loving doves design on the lid. not the usual pseudo-vintage cardboard thing i dislike and associate this brand with because of their bestsellers, the Box O'Powders.
each contains 3g of product and costs 19€.
today i'm showing you the shade Fawn Over Me. the texture of this pearl shimmering taupey tan is fine and velvety, it reminds me of MAC's Starflash finish, but is not as soft. i like that it's not too warm golden but has more of a light rose shine. it's dark enough to be worn all over the lid on its own and and light enough to look very subtle and natural. it blends in with my skin tone gorgeously creating a glowy eye and is a good partner for all kinds of shades.
it applies evenly without fall outs. it blends and sheers out nicely and worn on a good primer, it stays put all day without creasing.
this shade is meant to match the Creaseless Cream Shadow in Birthday suit, i think.

this is how it looks applied: i used it in the inner half of the lid and on the lower lashline.
