Lancome Maqui Blanc Miracle Liquid Foundation

I picked up samples of the new Lancome Maqui Blanc Miracle Liquid Foundation earlier this week to try out. Like Teint Miracle, it is formulated with Lancome's Aura-Bright Technology to recreate skin's inner light for a natural radiance and a brightening translucent finish. Lightweight pigments help to provide coverage and a smooth finish.

Maqui Blanc Miracle, which is made in Japan, boasts higher sun protection with SPF26 PA++, compared to Teint Miracle's SPF16 PA++. In Japan, both foundations are retailing at 5250yen (S$79.50) but in Singapore, Maqui Blanc Miracle is slightly more expensive at S$72 than Teint Miracle which is S$66. Maqui Blanc Miracle also contains a Neurowhite complex to help fight dark spots and is supposed to last up to 12 hours.

Below are swatches of Maqui Blanc Miracle in BO-01, which is the lightest shade, and O-02. BO stands for "Beige Ochre", O stands for "Ochre" and PO is "Pink Ochre". The BO shades are more yellow-toned compared to the O shades.

On me, Maqui Blanc Miracle feels and looks extremely similar to Teint Miracle. The foundation is a slightly watery liquid that is very easy to apply and blend, even over areas with enlarged pores. Although it feels very light, it does provide some coverage and helps to even out the skintone, making the skin look more radiant. The dewy finish can look a tad oily but once set with loose powder, it looks fine. In the pics below, I'm wearing O-02 set with Jill Stuart Loose Powder.

Like Teint Miracle, the oil control is not fantastic and I had to blot about every 1.5 hours. If you already have Teint Miracle, you probably don't need to rush out and buy Maqui Blanc Miracle as the two are very similar, although once you finish your Teint Miracle, it's worth considering switching to Maqui Blanc Miracle (assuming that you like how Teint Miracle performs) since it offers higher sun protection.

For this look, I also used Jill Stuart Blush Blossom #3 Lady Amaryllis, Beaute de Kose Mascara Fantasist Long-show Mascara, Majolica Majorca Perfect Automatic Liner VI606, Urban Decay Primer Potion, Paul & Joe Pearl Powder #5 and Eye Color B #1, K-Palette Real Lasting Eyebrow 02, Lancome Natural Light Creator Bare Skin Perfecting Corrector Pen #1 and Ombre Absolue Impact 3D G10 Étoile Du Soir, and Topshop Gloss in Gloom. My earlier review of Teint Miracle is here.

If you are interested in trying Maqui Blanc Miracle, do ask for a sample at any Lancome counter. The SA will pump a little bit into a small plastic pot for you, enough for about two uses.
