NARS blushes! #15 - Torrid
NARS Torrid is a shade i always thought i wouldn't need since i got Orgasm and it's often described as a more intense version of it. then i bought Cargo Rome and thought i'd have a sufficient dupe for it but i still wanted to try Torrid. so i ordered it with my last NARS-haul at hqhair.com when they had an extra 15%-off and free delivery. when i received and swatched it i was gladly relieved that it doesn't resemble one of my predicted dupes.
NARS blushes contain 4.5 - 4.8g each for the powder blushes, and 5.5g each for the cream blushes.
they cost 29€/19.50£/26$.
Torrid is a strawberry coral red with pink hues and very fine gold shimmer. its base shade appears satiny and a lot less shimmery as Orgasm or Cargo Rome. the texture again is fine and silky and although the pigmentation quite high, there still is a pinch of sheerness to it. like with all my other NARS blushes this one blends easily and evenly, even on unpowdered foundation and that is (amongst others) the reason why i appreciate Monsieur Nars' blush textures so much. it creates a fresh and bright flush on my cheeks. i could still use an additional hightlighter because this blush is rather low-shimmer.
it keeps the fresh coral-y pink flush on me the whole day without fading or oxidizing. this colour looks good worn on a tan and i think it would also be beautiful on deeper skinned women. with the higher pigmentation, i like to use a fluffy soft squirrel hair brush with it.
