RMK Sprinkling Eyes #2, Sprinkling Cheeks #2 and Irresistible Lips C #27

This week, I've been testing out some products from the RMK Sprinkling Colors collection for spring.

Sprinkling Eyes 02 Green (S$76; 5.3g) looks pretty tame at first under normal indoor lighting but when placed under a brighter light, you can see that the shades actually contain a very fine micro-shimmer (not chunky glitter). The Sprinkling Eyes quads each include three powder shades with a cream base (the longer pan at the top). The powder shades supposedly take on different tones when layered over the cream base.

The shades vary in terms of intensity and color payoff with the pale gold being the most sheer, showing up as mainly scattered golden sprinkles. The light blue shade applies as a translucent, pale blue-tinted wash with a very refined glimmer. The grey shade is also quite sheer on its own, but layers well over the green cream base. The green shade applies sheer at first but then builds up quite nicely to a fresh pop of green.

For this look, I applied the green shade from the upper lashline to the middle of the lid, the light blue shade as a wash over the browbone area, the grey shade along the upper and lower lashlines, the light gold shade in the middle of the upper lid and along the lower lashline. NARS Larger-than-Life Longwear Eyeliner in Abbey Road was used along the upper lashline while RMK Ingenious Waterproof Pencil Eyeliner 01 was used along the upper waterline.

Sprinkling Cheeks #2 Orange (S$68) is truly vivid, and probably out of the comfort zone for many ladies who are more accustomed to sporting rosy pinks hues on the cheeks. It is a true orange unalleviated by any coral tones, which would have made it easier to wear.

Applied with the included brush, it's easy to pop on too much but fortunately, it blends out quite smoothly. Layering the pale golden yellow shade on top adds a bit of a sheen without veering into frosty or glittery territory. Both shades feel incredibly creamy and velvety to touch. Like the double-ended brush applicator in the Sprinkling Eyes quad, the brush included in the Sprinkling Cheeks is of superb quality. It feels silky soft against the skin and picks up the product well. The sleek metal compact is a fingerprint magnet though.

Irresistible Lips C #27 Orange (S$51, 3.8g) is one of four new lip shades in this collection. Unlike EX04 Beige and EX05 Rose, this joins the permanent range and is not limited edition.

It applies as a lovely coral with a bit of shine. It slicks onto the lips easily without dragging or feathering. While the color payoff is good, the sheer glossy texture transfers with the slightest touch so it doesn't last well through drinking or eating. Nevertheless, I like how it brightens up the complexion instantly. The shade also doesn't scream orange like the Spring Cheeks 02 Orange does.

Overall, I think both Sprinkling Eyes #2 Green and Ingenious Lips C #27 Orange offer very wearable shades that are well-suited for spring, whereas I could only pull off Sprinkling Cheeks #2 Orange by using a very light hand.
