Jo Malone London Blooms
For this spring, Jo Malone has introduced three limited edition colognes inspired by British gardens.
The official scent descriptions:
Peony & Moss: Contrasting the dainty and the dirty. The gossamer lightness of delicate peonies grounded in earthy green.
Iris & Lady Moore: A mingling between spicy-fresh, common-or-garden geranium and noble iris, powdery and poised. Brought together on dry-grass base of vetiver.
White Lilac & Rhubarb: A daring juxtaposition. Tart-vibrant rhubarb cuts through the soft lilac, rose and sun-loving heliotrope.
The bottle designs are a colorful departure from Jo Malone's regular line with a dark purple grosgrain ribbon adorning the necks. The floral illustrations are actually printed on transparent stickers on the front of the bottles. These are available only in 100ml size (£72).
After falling in love with last spring's Tea Fragrances, I was looking very much forward to the London Blooms collection. Sadly, none of the three were attractive on my skin, perhaps because of the earthy, slightly tart green notes. These are worth a sniff if you are a Jo Malone fan, but I wouldn't recommend purchasing these without trying them out first.
Near the Jo Malone store, I came across this lovely tree in bloom, heralding the arrival of spring. Hope it's warming up where you are as well!
