Cosme Decorte AQ Shadow Supreme 021
I did a simple look with the Cosme Decorte AQ Shadow Supreme 021 palette today.
Like Lunasol palettes, each Shadow Supreme palette comes with two double-ended sponge/brush applicators. While some ladies prefer to use regular brushes, I usually use the included applicators as I find that they do a good job of applying and blending. The sponge applicators are particularly useful for achieving a more pigmented finish. The multi-faceted surface of the eyeshadows reminds me of the eyeshadow quads by the now defunct Esprique (predecessor of Esprique Precious), which was also part of the Kosé family.
After prepping with Testimo Eye Bright Up Base, I applied the white shade over the browbone area and at the inner corners, the yellow gold shade along the lower lashline, the blueish grey from the upper lashline to the crease and the dark blue shade along the upper lashline and outer corners. Then I finished by applying Canmake Gokunobi mascara and Heroine Make Smooth Liquid Liner.
All the eyeshadows have a satin finish except for the yellow gold shade which has a more metallic finish. The colour payoff is typical of Japanese brands. They apply sheer at first and can be layered easily for greater intensity. The texture is quite soft and can throw up a fair bit of loose powder bits if your brush/applicator touches the surface with too much force. Nevertheless, the shades are very easy to blend and complement one another very nicely. The shades have no frostiness or chunky glitter, so they can easily be worn for the daytime and office.
At S$89 each, the Cosme Decorte AQ Shadow Supreme palettes are a pricey indulgence. The good quality is reflected in the refined textures, the elegant gold-themed packaging and skin beneficial ingredients.
For the rest of the look, I used Cosme Decorte AQ Cream Foundation Supreme 201 over Makeup Base 01 (Moist), Face Powder N 001 and Rouge Supreme BE355, NARS Sin Blush (2nd from top of left hand column in the palette), Paul & Joe Stick Concealer 01 and K-Palette Real Lasting Eyebrow 24h 01.
For those interested in the Cosme Decorte AQ Cream Foundation, here's the ingredients list.
And for the loose powder.
