Catrice Modern Muse nail polishes/new polishes.

 

last week i have found a display with the new Modern Muse collection from Catrice. unfortunately i was too late on that, so most items were sold out. the only interesting things left were these two polishes, so i bought them to try. luckily all things of this collection will become permanent additions to the range, so i can wait until september to buy some of the new cream eyeshadows i was initially interested in.

Catrice polishes contain 10ml and cost 2.49€.

they come with a good wide and flat brush and usually i'm very pleased with their consistency, application and wearing time.

#680 Khaki Perry

Khaki Perry is a greenish grey pearl polish with golden olive shimmer. this is a beautiful complex colour in the bottle but unfortunately the golden green shimmer doesn't show up when it's applied on the nails. also, this colour will apply streaky in the way that you will see the brush strokes.

it's almost completely opaque in 2 coats.

first, i didn't like the colour, but i came to get used to it after one or  two days. luckily it has a really good staying time, only slight tip wear after 4 days, so i could start to enjoy it. i only wished it was as complex as it is in the bottle.

#650 Goldfinger

Goldfinger is a beautiful shimmery neutral gold with gold shimmer and crystal sparkles. i like that it's not too warm and not too metallic but keeps the shimmer and sparkle when applied. it looks good with my relatively pale yellow hands ;)

the colour applies evenly and opaque in 2 coats, however i like to wear it rather sheer in one coat to have a summery and light sparkle effect.

i love this gold! i've been looking for such a colour for a long time and am glad that i don't have to splurge for it.
