Paul & Joe Eye Gloss Duo in #05 Rock and Roll.

this is the other Paul & Joe Eyegloss Duo that i recently bought on beautybay.com (see my review of #04 Bourgeoisie here).
this one is in the shade #05 Rock and Roll which contains a sheer old gold with a ton of golden sparkles on one side of the double ended tube and a charcoal, which blends out almost to an indigo, with lots of multicoloured shimmer on the other. the gold side has a flocked doe foot applicator while the charcoal side comes with a sponge material doe foot applicator for more precise application.
both shades again are of the sheer and thin sort of cream eyeshadow, but i like this duo alot (like it better than the Bougeoisie duo). i think the gold shade is quite beautiful. even though it's sheer, i really like how the gold glistening effect comes out after a bit of blending (reminds me of the Guerlain cream shadows).
the two contrasting colors make for a gorgeous dramatic eye look so i find it less "boring" than the Bourgeoisie duo although initially i thought this might be the one i would be less excited about.
i have worn both shades together few times but find them quite tricky to handle since the liquidy consistency blends away easily. you would need to dab them on, being careful not to make it a too thick layer. the nice result is worth the effort, though.
each shade individually also performs very well as a base for powder eyeshadows, i especially like how the gold sparkles peek through when i wear a less shimmery shadow over the gold cream shadow of Rock and Roll. both colours last all day withough smudging or creasing.
the Paul & Joe Eyeglosses are definitely not for you if you like effortless cream shadows like those in the pot by MAC or Benefit.
these contain 5.7ml together and cost 19.70€
