Steam Cream Upcoming New Designs
Steam Cream officially launched in BHG Clementi and Bugis Junction in late July with 12 limited edition designs, including Kani Lehua (shown below) which was sent to me by Japalang, the distributor.
Over 140 can designs have been released to date in Japan and elsewhere (see the gallery here).
The all-purpose moisturiser is made in Japan using a traditional steam process. Infused with cocoa butter and a host of beneficial oils like jojoba oil and almond oil, the lavender-scented cream is a soothing salve for parched, dry skin.
In Singapore's extreme humidity, Steam Cream can feel slightly oily on the skin, whereas when I'm in a temperate climate, it absorbs easily into the skin without that oily feeling. I use Steam Cream regularly to combat the dry patches on my legs, elbows and hands. It can be used as a face moisturiser as well but I don't use it that way as it's too hydrating for my facial skin. Makeup Stash has also reviewed Steam Cream here.
My current collection of Steam Cream, all of which (except Kani Lehua) were purchased in Tokyo last year. It retails at S$25.90 for 75g in Singapore. After using up the cream, the tins can be re-used to hold accessories like hair clips, rings or small stationery items like paper clips etc.
According to Steam Cream Singapore's Facebook page, they are preparing to launch another 10 designs on 12 August at BHG's Japan and Korea Fair. Don't miss it if you are a collector of these tins!
