L'Oreal Color Infaillible / Indefectible Eyeshadows.
L'Oreal had a small range of these semi powder/semi cream eyeshadows that are made up of loosely pressed crumbles like the Eyes To Kill Silk Eyeshadows by Giorgio Armani (for example reviewed here), i have once shown you two of the shades here.
in the meantime, the range was enlarged and now offers a nice selection which also contains brights and matte shades. i think that is a fantastic development, since i find most colours in the Giorgio Armani range too light, i miss some colour there as well. another big plus is the now lower price, when i bought my first two L'Oreal Indefectible Eyeshadows, i paid about 10€ for each but now they "only" cost about 7€ (3.5g).
do i notice a difference between the expensive Giorgio Armani version (30€ each) and the L'Oreal, knowing Armani Beauty is a L'Oreal Group brand? not a big. ok, Armani wins the packaging- and appealing-look-battle with their mixed colour crumbles. my selection consists of the most complex and beautiful shades from Armani (what else?!), but of course even in the pricey range there are inconsistencies with the colour/shimmer complexity throughout the shades. the L'Oreal ones i've tried so far were all just as smooth and as pigmented, they have a beautiful intense metallic effect like i have seen only few times in drugstore eyeshadows and last almost as well as the Giorgio Armani version. plus, L'Oreal wins the point for diversity. and so i can't just say that "pricier = better" at all!
i picked up two more shades, two safe ones i must admit, but surely i will go back to buy some more and this time more brave ones.
#021 Sahara Treasure
i was hoping for such a neutral, easy to wear taupish colour all the time, from GA or L'Oreal or whatever, and L'Oreal gave it to me first! Sahara Treasure is almost a taupe colour, but it's rather a cool toned gold which makes me like it even better. it's highly pigmented and has a super intense metallic shimmer, it captures the light beautifully and makes my eyes look very bright.
applies intensely without fall-out, blends well and wears all day. i think this is the must-have shade from the range, an exciting neutral.

i've applied it onto the inner 2/3 of the lid (on the outer part is Bronze Goddess) and along the lower lashline.

#024 Bronze Goddess
i don't think this colour is too much of a bronze but it's in fact an incredibly intense golden olive. it's beautiful! when i first swatched it, i hesitated because i'm quite a sucker for such a colour and worried that i might have multiple lookalikes for this at home already, but i'm really glad that i couldn't resist the strong golden shimmer and still bought it!
it's not alike any of my greenish bronze metallics at home, it's more green and a lot more intense than those. it wears nicely on the lid, however i think in combination with other metallic colours it easily drowns as a crease colour. this one is fantastic as a lid colour worn alone or combined with a super dark brown (for example NARS Mekong - click!) or black. as a crease colour it looks just beautiful with a matte or low-shimmer satin mauve or caramel shade on the lids (for example from Guerlain's #93, Rue de Passy palette - click!).
with this one i also can't find any negative points, it applies and wears comfortably.

again, i highly recommend these eyeshadows! at the moment i believe they're one of the best you can find in the drugstore.
