FOTD with L'Oreal Electrified.

i wanted to show you what kind of make up look(s) i liked to wear the last weak. it was mostly a stronger eye make up paired with slightly nuded out lips. i used the L'Oreal HIP duo in Electrified relatively often, i love the metallic taupe in it. it also looks great with any other dark colour like blue, brown or black in the outer corner.

what i used for the face:

foundation: Lancôme Teint Miracle in 01 Beige Albâtre (1 - review) applied with the BeautyBlender (2 - review)

concealer: Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer in 010 Ivory (3 - review) patted on the under eye area with the fingers

powder: MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Medium (4 - review) applied with Lunasol Powder Brush N (5 - review)

contour: Burberry Beauty Light Glow in #07 Earthy Blush (6 - review) applied with Rouge Bunny Rouge's Blush Brush (7 - review)

blush: Cargo Blush in Polynesia (8) applied with Hakuhodo G5519BkSL Blush Brush (9)

what i used on the eyes:

brows: MAC Eyeshadow in Copperplate (1) applied with Laura Mercier LY30 Brow Brush (2)

eye make up:

for the softer look i used the metallic taupe of L'Oreal HIP duo in Electrified (3 - review) on the inner 2/3 of the lid and the lower lashline and applied the dark purple on the outer parts and into the crease area. everything applied with MAC 242 brush (4) and blended out with Edward Bess Luxury Eye Brush (5 - review).
i also used the purple as a liner shade for the upper lashline. then added a true purple eyeliner (P2 Perfect Look Kajal in 080 Lilac - 7 - review) on the waterline to give it some more colour.

with flash:

for the smokier version i applied the dark shade of L'Oreal Electrified (3 - review) all over the lid and on the lower lashline and added highlights on the center of the dark colour and on the inner corner with the metallic shade. everything applied with MAC 242 brush (4) and blended out with Edward Bess Luxury Eye Brush (5 - review).
a bit of MAC Vex (not on pic, sorry) in the inner corners, too, and lastly black liner for the waterline (P2 Perfect Look Kajal in 010 Black - 6 - review).

with flash:

i used the usual stuff for mascara (Shu Uemura curlers (8), Maybelline False Lashes Waterproof (9) as bottom layer and Shiseido The Perfect Mascara (10 - sample) as top coat).

lips: Manhattan Water Flash Lipgloss in a nude colour (11)

quick FOTD with Chanel Illusoire & MAC Dainty.

i need some time to write proper reviews, so just a quick recent FOTD, easy peasy but not too boring ;)

for the face i used:

foundation: Rimmel Match Perfection in 100 Ivory (1 - review), applied with the BeautyBlender (2 - review)

powder: Guerlain Météorites Pearls in #1 Teint Rosé (3 - review), applied with Le Métier de Beauté Powder Brush (4 - review)

concealer: Edward Bess Platinum Concealer in Soft Beige (5 - review), applied with Hakuhodo 212 Highlighter Brush (6 - review)

blush: MAC Mineralize Blush in Dainty (7), applied with MakeUpShow Blush Brush H02 (8 - review)

for the eyes:

brows: Shiseido Brow Pencil in GY901 Natural Black (1)

eye make up: UDPP (2), then Chanel #83 Illusoire (3 - review) on the entire lid, applied with MAC 242 (5) and blended out with Edward Bess Lurxury Eye Brush (6 - review).
on the lower lashline Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Intense Eyeshadow #6 (4 - review), applied with MAC 242.
Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler (7), Maybelline Volum' Express False Lashes Waterproof (8) as first layer, Shiseido The Perfect Mascara (9 - sample size) as top layer.

lips: Chanel Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss in #56 Imaginaire (10 - review)

this is a simple but blingy eye make up look, i like how it glistens and how the Chanel eyeshadow develops an almost glossy sheen over time without creeping into the crease.

foundation overview #9: Rimmel Match Perfection foundation & concealer

because i heard such great  reviews about the new (?) Match Perfection Concealer by Rimmel i bought it to try and also the foundation that goes with it.

the Match Perfection Foundation contains 30ml and costs something about 12-13€.
it claims to adapt to your skin in tone and texture with the Smart-Tone® technology, creating a perfectly flawless natural finish. it also claims to have an Oxygen Complex to let your skin breathe and an spf of 15.
it comes in a glass pump bottle, the pump is very precise. i bought it in the lightest shade, #100 Ivory which is a medium light neutral shade and matches my NC20-25 skin. it doesn't darken or oxidize on me, but also i don't notice a big tone-adapting effect.
the texture is a thick liquidy consistency, it blends out easily and evenly. it has a strong sweet perfumy scent.
i always apply it with the BeautyBlender sponge and achieve a light to medium coverage with it. it sets quite fast and is not very buildable. it feels light on my skin, not weightless-light, but also not noticeable.
the finish is a bit dull right after application, but becomes more of a silky sheen 15-30 minutes later. after 4-5 hours my oils break through and blend in with the foundation to a dewy (but not greasy) finish. i have quite oily skin with enlarged pores and find that it lasts quite well on me. after 10h and no touch ups at all i still have a good and even coverage and a satin-dewy finish. it doesn't creep into my pores or fine lines.
all in all, i must say that this foundation is much better than i have expected, but still doesn't stand out to me.

this is how it looks applied, foundation only here ;)

the Match Perfection Skin Tone Adapting Concealer contains 7ml and costs about 7€. it's a 2-in-1 concealer and highlighter and claims to banish signs of fatigue and illuminate the eye area. it also has an oxygen complex to let the skin breathe. it comes in a squeeze tube with a built in brush applicator (which automatically closes up when you put on the outer cap).
i bought the lightest shade also, #010 Ivory. it's a light, pink based shade. it also has the same sweet perfumy scent like the foundation, but not as strong.
i don't like the brush applicator that much, it's a bit too stiff for me and only applies streaks. you surely need to do some refinish with your fingertips or a small fluffy brush to blend it out. also i find such applicators unhygienical and hard to clean.
the texture of the concealer is quite thick and creamy, but it feels fresh and watery. it blends out quite dry and has a silicone-y matte finish. it's also pretty sheer and doesn't add much to my dark circles. i like a creamy, moist finish much better with under eye concealers. i also don't notice a highlighter/illuminating effect with this, so i haven't tried it as a highlighter-only product on other areas than under eye. am i doing something wrong?
it doesn't crease into my laughing lines, though. i'm not very impressed with the concealer, maybe i have to try it further, but it doesn't beat my drugstore concealer of choice: the Manhattan Wake Up Concealer (or i could layer them both...).

i'm missing summer FOTD

in my recent post about the Catrice eyeshadow Mr. Copper's Fields i suggested this combination as a nice summery look. et voilà, today i did it quickly to demonstrate. sadly the eyeshadow looks a bit too orange on me, so i need to combine it with a slightly cooler bronze to balance it out.

foundation: Chanel Pro Lumiere in #20 Beige Clair + MAC Face&Body in C2 + BeautyBlender
NARS Madly blush + MakeUpShow blush brush
TheBalm Time Balm concealer + Hakuhodo brush + Shiseido brow pencil in GY901 + Alverde brow gel + Shu Uemura eyelash curler + Hourglass Film Noir mascara + Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Mascara (both samples)
Catrice Mr. Copper's Fields with Sigma ss217 on lid and crease + Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Intense Silk Eyeshadow #6 with MAC 242 on the lid (near lash line)
Rimmel Colour Show Off lipstick in #020 Shake-Up Pink + Essence lipgloss in Trendsetter

Rimmel 60 Seconds nail polish - #510 Euphoria

Rimmel 60 Seconds nail polish - #510 Euphoria (8ml - 3.95€) is a sheer polish that has a murky base with mauve pearl and pink & green shimmer. it also has a slight pink duochrome to it.
it looks great in one coat as a sheer wash of shimmer+colour, i'm not really into the colour when applied opaque with multiple coats. drying time is average, but a quick dry top coat this isn't an important factor to me. also not the wearing time, although i noticed slight tip wear on the second evening - but then i had to remove anyway. the colour/effect matters!
the brush is really weird though, a flat, very wide (almost as wide as my pinky nail) with rounded edges. it's too big for my small nails. the texture is great, so this makes the application with the unusual brush a little bit easier.
