Cargo Key Largo.

i want to continue my Cargo Blush series again to finally complete it. check the overview post of my Cargo Blush collection for more swatches and reviews.
today it's about the blush shade in Key Largo. it is one of the regular, permanent colours. it's now available at beautybay.com, however when i bought this blusher a few months ago it still wasn't so i ordered it through Maureen.
the metal tin contains 8.9g of product and costs 26$ (now on beautybay.com for 18.10€).
Key Largo looks quite intimidating in the pan - it's a super bright light cherry red, a cool toned red. it has a matte finish and a very fine, smooth texture. it's intensely pigmented so you definitely need a very light hand and soft fluffy brush to apply it sheerly, but if you do, you will experience great blendability with an even, non-patchy result. the colour stays all day on my cheeks, especially when i take the time to blend and buff it in carefully, it's almost like a stain.
worn very softly, it creates a coral pink flush. i can imagine that this would make a nice red eyeshadow, too (hint hint to Lisa Eldridge's Red Eyeshadow video).
this blusher works for all skintones from the palest to the deepest, i think it's a beautiful snow-white look for pale girls and during the winter time.

comparison

Cargo Key Largo - Kryolan R6

although both colours look very similar in the pan with Kryolan R6 blush only slightly darker on the  scarlet side, they swatch quite different. Key Largo is lighter, cool toned, while Kryolan R6 turns out to be a warmer, tomato red colour.
Kryolan R6 is even higher pigmented as Cargo, and i have to say that the Kryolan one is also silkier. i prefer Kryolan's texture to Cargo.
