An Evening with Dove
Yesterday evening, Dove hosted an intimate gathering of beauty bloggers to showcase their newly revamped Damage Therapy haircare line. The event was held at Lantern, on the rooftop of the Fullerton Bay Hotel overlooking Marina Bay.
Situated next to the pool, Lantern has a relaxed casual romantic vibe with an array of round lounge sofas for taking in the panaromic view of the bay.
The usual pretty posse: Kas (Shine, Shimmer & Sparkle), Mag (Makeup Stash), Sara (Icyabstract) and Chantana (Everbluec).
With Kas and Mag.
Some of you have probably already seen the new Dove Damage Therapy line in the local stores like Watsons. Aside from the sleek new white packaging, the Damage Therapy line is designed to repair hair from within through a patented combination of repairing Fiber Actives and Micro Moisture Serum. The Damage Therapy line sold in Singapore is designed for Asian hair and manufactured in Thailand. It is a different formula from the Dove haircare sold in Western countries. The line remains quite affordably priced ranging from S$7.05 for the Leave-on Cream to S$12.90 for the Overnight Treatment.
This nifty device is actually a prototype of an Advanced Diagnostic Tool that will be made available in stores in the near future for customers to check the health of their hair by simply pulling the probe through a lock of their hair. The device grades hair health on a scale of 1 to 9, with 9 being the most damaged. Most customers tend to score around 7 to 9. It is estimated that 80% of women have damaged hair due to various factors like dyeing, rebonding, perming, heating. Even towelling your hair too roughly can damage the hair shaft.
We were each given a set of the Intense Repair collection to try. I'll review these separately after I've given them a thorough test run. One delightful surprise in the goodie bag was this Philips SalonExtra Compact hairdryer! I've never owned a hairdryer in my life as I prefer to let my hair air dry. The new November issue of Her World comes with a 30ml bottle of the shampoo for those who are interested in trying it out without investing in a full size.
Here are some more shots of the glittering skyline as seen from Lantern.
